Based on traditional Chinese and Japanese approaches to health, Shiatsu balances the body’s core energies, resulting in deep relaxation, pain relief and a sense of aliveness and wellbeing. Having a treatment gives you the time and space to connect more deeply with yourself and your healing process.
Shiatsu is very nourishing for the nervous system and releases deep-seated stress from the body. It works effectively with many ailments including:

I work in an intuitive way letting each body 'speak' to me. As a practitioner of 13 years, Shiatsu is foundational to all the body work I do. Specifically, Shiatsu combines stretches, compressions, breathwork, massage and acupressure point work. It can also include emotional release as old body memories come up to the surface. My clients often report feeling blissful at the end of a session, no longer in pain, and they look deeply relaxed, calm and clear. My own experience of this work is that it helps people re-center, relax more deeply in their bodies, manage their lives more effectively and feel more at peace. Treatments are done on a futon mat and I recommend recipients come wearing loose comfortable clothing.
